About Pothunting

In the late 1800s, the association game and the handling game were splitting into soccer and rugby.   Sparring between the two camps was common.  Rugby players took to referring to their football cousins as “pothunters”, a reference to the rapid propagation of tournaments that took place all over the UK, and the cup (or “pot”) that was awarded to the winner of each.

Today, Pothunting is a purveyor of classic American clothing with a unique look at American soccer past.   Find us at www.pothunting.com.
