Legendary clubs like the Wonder Workers, Rovers, Marksmen and Ponto Delgada lurked there. So In 1975 - after fourteen seasons at Benfica - the Minutemen made Eusibio the first Portugese international to play for a US club since the 1920s. His ride was short. After only seven apperances and two goals, The Lisbon legend was off to Monterrey. The fortunes of the club and hearts of their supporters departed with him.
